Hyperhidrosis may be due the nature of the person. Some people sweat excessively when moving or in stressful situations, beginning from their childhood. This situation is actually not a health problem for such a person. Local hyperhidrosisi i.e axcessive sweating in the hands, feet or underarm are generally structural properties;so , they are not associated with any internal disease. Symptoms increase further, especially during stress. Sweaty hands leads to an annoying situation for the person when shaking hands, writing or holding something. Plantar hyperhidrosis (excessive sweating in the feet) paves the way for fungal and bacterial infections. It puts the person in a difficult situation by causing stain in the socks and foot odor. Axillary hyperhidrosis creates problems as well, such as stains on all the clothes, and odor. All these are big problems for people.
Botox is one of the effective solutions used in the treatment of hyperhidrosis. The effect of Botox in the application site lasts 6 months on the average. At the end of this period, the sweating rate gradually returns to the previous level.
When applied to the underarms, which are the most obvious and annoying regions, it causes no pain sensation. But when applied to the hands and feet, Botox may be a little bit painful. However, we can avoid this and ensure the application to be more comfortable by applying an anesthetic cream before the procedure.
